Wireless Earbuds

Choosing Wireless Earbuds

What is the single most annoying thing that you experience with having a portable music player with you at all times? Many of us have cell phones with mp3 players or a detached mp3 player with us at all times, but the most annoying thing is the wire of your earbuds. Most people want to get wireless earbuds, but even with the huge advances that the technology has taken in the past few years, there are still quite a bit of different models out there which don't provide the user with a sufficient quality of audio, and not a sufficient wireless experience.

The biggest problem with wireless earbuds is that the technologies used aren't always powerful enough to provide the kind of sound quality which you would expect to get. Most of us have at some point tested out a set of wireless earbuds which belonged to a friend or a relative, and noticed the lower sound quality. Radio phones are known to have really poor sound quality, but today you can actually be quite happy with the level of audio you get from the most recent earbuds.

Different wireless technologies used...

You have quite a bit of choices to make when you are looking for the earbuds you will end up with. The first and biggest choice you will have to make is the one between Bluetooth (BT) and Kleer. Most of us have heard of BT because it is likely that your mobile phone has some kind of BT receiver in it. You can most likely use it to connect the phone to your pc. I will not go through the minute details in Bluetooth wireless technology here, but I will tell you something - even though it is very popular, it isn't that good!

There is another better option than BT, and that is called Kleer. The biggest benefits that you will get by having Kleer enabled wireless earbuds are lower energy consumption, longer range and significantly higher audio quality. Most users hear a distinct difference between Bluetooth and Kleer earbuds, and end up choosing Kleer for a reason. Any other benefits? Well actually Kleer technology doesn't require much space, hence it is a lot more efficient in smaller devices as earbuds where you can't really put anything too big!

Even though most people will read the above two paragraphs they will still end up choosing BT because it is more popular these days. Wireless earbuds do come in a lot of different models, and depending on the type of player you will use them with, you will have to choose between an integrated or an external transmitter. Some players will already contain a transmitter when they are shipped from the factory, but for the other devices you will have to get a separate adapter for your wireless earbuds to be able to enjoy a sort of semi-wireless life.
