Sony DRBT100CX Ear Bud Stereo Bluetooth Headset
The first thing that came to mind when I saw this headset was whether it had a good range. It has a separate transmitter, and that is usually used with devices which don't have built in bluetooth. For this the range is actually quite splendid, since we were able to still get a perfect audio streaming with 30 yards distance from the player - this is excellent to use in your home or wherever you are going to be walking around while listening to the music.
The Sony DRBT100CX was a nice little surprise in other ways as well. We are pretty clear on the fact that bluetooth is the weaker technology when wireless audio quality, range and low power consumption is considered, but when it comes to the price, it is a clear winner. The comfortability of use was better than with most wireless and semi-wireless earbuds since the wire from the earbuds is longer. Some of the earbuds requires that you hold the transmitter under your jaw or behind your neck, but with this you get a nice attachment and you clip it on your shirt to remove the weight from your ears - a really nice bonus for someone who listens to hours of music without removing them. You can get some real ear ache with that. Also our findings prove that in this price range Sony is making one of the best earbuds to isolate surrounding noises and also the most comfortable earbuds. You can adjust them by pushing them deeper in your ear, and that way you will get a snugger fit with more isolation and also a tighter bass.
Because the earbud attachment is made from light rubber it will fit your ear nicely. For a wireless bluetooth earbud set, the DRBT100CX actually is quite lightweight and small. They have clearly made some advancements at the Sony tech labs!
